Since the earliest days of practicing, he has worked to bring the most current and evidence-based practices into his approach to working with children and teens. He works collaboratively with parents as well as individually with juvenile clients as whole families to try to navigate the difficulties of growing up in a modern world. He makes it a point to orient his counseling approach to each client’s unique needs and worldview, which has helped greatly as he seeks out further specialization in working with clients dealing with Autism, ADHD, ODD, discipline and behavioral issues, self esteem/confidence.
Matt also brings a unique perspective to the practice as a prior military member and law enforcement officer, which allows him to move with familiarity into the spaces of clients who are grappling with those issues which those professions create.
He is also currently in the process of receiving his certification in PCIT as well as beginning to offer Table Top Game Therapy through DND games.
